چکیده

The rate at which amino acids are removed from the blood by the organs has been previously reported (l-3). The methods used permitted only estimation of total amino acid nitrogen, and no information could be gained as to the fate of the individual amino acids injected. Quantitative paper chromatography (4) seemed to lend itself as a valuable method in studying the pattern of absorption of parenterally administered amino acids. For this work, aspartic acid, glutamic acid, glytine, and alanine were chosen.

Measurement of cadmium residues in muscle, liver and kidney of cattle slaughtered in Isfahan abattoir using grafite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry (GFAAS): a preliminary study

The aim of the present study was to determine the levels of cadmium in the muscle, liver and kidney of cattle from Isfahan and to compare the results with those reported by other countries and with the maximum acceptable levels for human consumption. Samples of muscle, liver and kidney from 60 animals aged 1–10- year-old were collected from the carcasses slaughtered at Isfahan abattoir. Samples...

Primate Tissues

A B S T R A C T The specific activity of the branchedchain a-keto acid (BCKA) dehydrogenases was measured in normal tissues of the rat, monkey, and man, and in cirrhotic human liver. In the rat, specific activity of the dehydrogenases in liver, kidney, and muscle averaged 33, 26, and 0.4 U/g wet tissue, respectively; proportion of the body's content of the enzyme located in these three organs w...

Heavy metal concentrations in the selected tissues of the Persian sturgeon, Acipencer persicus, from the southern coast of the Caspian Sea

Bioaccumulation of heavy metals including Cd, Pb, Cu and Zn in muscle, gill, liver, kidney and stomach in Acipencer persicus was studied. Fish were collected from the ‘Iranian fishery zone 1’ located between Astara and Kiyahshahr. Samples (n=25) were collected from five stations in the study area during the autumn catch season in 2001. Samples were analyzed by wet digestion with hydrogen peroxi...

Functional properties of fish protein hydrolysates from Cuttlefish (Sepia pharaonis) muscle produced by two commercial enzymes

Fish protein hydrolysates were prepared from Cuttlefish (Sepia pharaonis) muscle using alcalase and protamex methods. By conducting the Cuttlefish protein hydrolysate using alcalase (CPHA), it showed higher degrees of hydrolysis, proximate composition, yield, emulsifying activity index (EAI), emulsion stability index (ESI), foaming activity index (FAI), solubility, water holding capacity (WHC) ...
